Pterocarpus (Pterocarpus Marsupium)

Pterocarpus has a long history of use in India as a treatment for diabetes. It is native to Sri Lanka and India. Pterocarpus is a rich source of polyphenolic compounds that are reported to have blood sugar lowering effects in laboratory studies. Pterocarpus Marsupium, alone or as in multi-ingredient formulas, has been shown successful in reducing the blood sugar of diabetic human subjects.
